OSC Controller ("App") is developed by OSC Controller, located at Livorno, Tuscany, Italy, email: osccontroller@skymax.it. We are the data controller under GDPR for any personal data processed.
Information We Collect
OSC Controller does not collect, store, or transmit personal information such as names, emails, device IDs, location, contacts, or usage analytics. The App only facilitates sending OSC messages (UDP packets) from your device to other local network devices (e.g., audio software like Max/MSP or DAWs) for music production control.
- No user accounts, logins, or persistent storage of data.
- No third-party SDKs, trackers, cookies, or analytics (e.g., no Google Analytics, Firebase).
- Device permissions (if requested): Only network access for OSC transmission; microphone/camera/location are not used.
- If future updates add features requiring data, we will update this policy and obtain explicit consent.
How We Use Information
No personal data is used because none is collected. OSC messages are transient network packets processed locally on your device and sent directly to target IP/port addresses you configure (e.g., for synthesizer control). We do not access, log, or process these messages.
Processing is limited to app functionality under GDPR's legitimate interest basis (local audio control), with data minimization applied.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
No data is shared, sold, or disclosed to third parties, service providers, or affiliates. No advertising or profiling occurs.
We confirm any future third parties (if added) will comply with Apple's App Store Guidelines and Google Play policies, with equivalent privacy protections.
Data Security and Retention
No data is retained, so retention periods do not apply. Local app settings (e.g., IP presets) are stored only on your device and deleted upon uninstall. We use standard encryption for network transmission (UDP) where applicable.
Security measures include no cloud sync and minimal permissions to prevent unauthorized access.
Your Rights (GDPR and Global Privacy Laws)
Users in the EU/EEA (GDPR), California (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia (CDPA), and similar jurisdictions have rights to:
- Access, correct, delete, or port data (contact us; response within 30 days).
- Withdraw consent (no consent-based processing currently).
- Object to or restrict processing.
- Lodge complaints with supervisory authorities (e.g., Garante Privacy Italy).
Email osccontroller@skymax.it with verified requests. No sensitive data handled, so no age-appropriate design (COPPA/CalOPPA) applies; App not directed at children under 16.
International Transfers
No data transfers occur. Servers (none used) would ensure adequacy decisions or safeguards like SCCs under GDPR.
Children's Privacy
OSC Controller is not intended for children under 16. No knowing collection from minors; parents/guardians can contact us for deletion.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy for legal/compliance reasons. Material changes will be notified in-app or via app store listing. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
